Peugeot RCZ

The Peugeot RCZ is the new addition from Peugeot and has been added into its very own Supercar range. The car has been on sale since 2010 and has been an instant success, selling over 30000 models since the car was first unveiled to the public.

The Peugeot RCZ was originally planned as a simple concept car but it received critical acclaim, capturing the imagination of the public and many professionals. Peugeot had decided to take the leap from concept to actual car and began production due to the high demand. The car's lines and style have remained very close to the original concept so as not to disappoint public opinion, however a series of changes were made to the central dual exhaust system which was replaced by a dual exhaust to the left of the rear bumper. The Peugeot RCZ has double-bubble roof inspired by Zagato.

The Peugeot RCZ comes in many different colours and also engine sizes with Petrol and also Diesel engines.

As a concept, it was known as 308 RCZ, because it was originally based on Peugeot’s 308 hatchback, but with wheels set further apart on the axles. This is still true, and the dashboard is still clearly 308-derived, albeit with posh leather and a smart clock in place of the central air vent. The air of luxury tells us this is a "premium" coupé.

The Peugeot RCZ does look exotic from the outside, three engines will be offered, a 2.0-litre turbo diesel with 163bhp for the CO2-watchers, and a pair of 1.6-litre, direct-injection, turbo petrol engines with 156 or 200bhp. Part of a joint venture between Peugeot and BMW, similar engines are also found in Minis, but this new 200bhp unit uniquely combines variable valve timing and lift with a twin-scroll, fast-response turbocharger.

Performance Specification: 146mph, 0-62 in 7.6sec, with the Miles per gallon reaching 39.8mpg which comes from the Peugeot as a official average.
